Dogs (and other pets) up to 50 pounds are allowed at The Shores. Pets are allowed in all room types except the suites and first floor lanais. There is a $25 pet fee per day and a deposit is required to cover any damage to the room (refunded upon departure). Pets are allowed in the lobby and elevators, but not in the restaurant, pool or on the beach (local law, not the hotel’s decision). However, there is an excellent dog-friendly beach and park nearby.
The Shores Resort offers a boutique spa with a full list of treatments including a hot-stone massage or a ritual Balinese massage. Full day spa packages, salon services and couples treatments are also available. There is also a fitness center with a choice of machines and free weights. Outside there is a beachfront pool and jacuzzi – a perfect way to relax some more after a tension releasing massage.

The rooms at the resort are tastefully decorated with good quality furnishings and spacious balconies. Rooms feature four-poster beds (super comfortable!), a flat screen plasma TV with a DVD/CD player (free DVD rentals available), a pull-out sofa, a mini-bar, and an iHome iPod player. Suites are also available and come complete with a master bedroom with a private terrace, a dining room and parlor and full size microwaves and refrigerators. Views from the rooms are spectacular – either of the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway.
